Monday Aug 24th Susan
Susan sleeps a lot. She has had adjustments in her medicine for pain. Her thinking has improved due to the lesser dosage she was once receiving. She is growing more emaciated (sp?). She is such a fighter but she says she doesn't want to fight anymore. She has some of her things around the room to brighten her day. The hospice still comes daily. She is still taking visitors. We don't know how much time she has left.

Susan Monday Aug 17th
She is feeling more pain more often due to her weight loss. Her cognitive thinking is decreasing and when she is awake a lot she gets confused more often when she is tired. Hospice care still comes daily. Siblings are sharing time blocks with caring of her. We encourage you all to visit when you can.

Susan Updates
Susan has left the hospital. She is staying at a care facility for 1 week. She will be preparing to go to Shawns house afterward. That gives us time to volunteer our time when we can, all of us as individuals need to help. She doesn't want to stay in a facility where she feels she will be left to be forgotten. This is a BIG deal. Why? She still has a bowel blockage unfixed and is getting very little nutrition. Eventually she will either starve to death AND/OR the nutrition will affect her remaining organs (because they are not meant for long term living). She will need 24 hr care. That means we all need to participate because not one person can do all of it. The more of us involved the more all of us are not burdened with the task of it all. She doesn't have much time to live and she wants her family around her. If I have left anything out please call Cheryl, Jaimi or Shawn.
